Who We Are

DeskHorizon is a Windows 11 desktop app and website. In these terms, "DeskHorizon," "we," "our," and "us" refer to the DeskHorizon product and website operator, and "you" refers to the user of the app or website.

Your License

DeskHorizon is distributed through Microsoft Store. Your purchase, download, and use of the app are licensed under the Microsoft Standard Application License Terms that apply to apps from the Store. These Terms of Use are additional terms that apply alongside them. If there is a direct conflict regarding your Store purchase, the Microsoft Standard Application License Terms control that purchase; otherwise these terms govern your use of DeskHorizon.

Acceptable Use And Your Responsibility

DeskHorizon is a productivity tool that can open browsers, run local shells and remote SSH sessions, and host AI-agent terminals that execute commands you provide. You are solely responsible for:

  • the commands you run and the actions you take within the app;
  • only connecting to systems, servers, and accounts you are authorized to access;
  • the content you view, download, or generate; and
  • complying with all applicable laws and with the terms of any system or service you use DeskHorizon with.

Do not use DeskHorizon for any unlawful, harmful, or unauthorized activity.

Third-Party Services And Keys

Optional features connect to third-party services using your own accounts or API keys, for example an OpenAI or other AI-provider key for voice or AI features. You are responsible for those accounts, keys, any usage charges, and for complying with each provider's terms and privacy policy. Browser and music features may access third-party websites and content, including YouTube through its official embedded player, under those parties' terms. DeskHorizon does not control and is not responsible for third-party services.

No Warranty

DeskHorizon is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your requirements.

Limitation Of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DeskHorizon and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising out of or related to your use of the app, the commands you run, systems you connect to, or any third-party services you configure.

Intellectual Property

The DeskHorizon name, logo, and application are owned by the DeskHorizon operator and are protected by applicable laws. Your own projects, files, notes, and data created or stored with DeskHorizon remain yours.

No Affiliation

DeskHorizon is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Microsoft, OpenAI, Google, YouTube, or any other third party. Product names and trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

Changes

We may update these terms as DeskHorizon changes. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes may also be announced in the app or on the website. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
